Unarchived: Non-Catalog of the 28th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival

The Non-Catalog of the 28th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival is a publication that stays unarchived, yet collectible – a companion piece to the special edition All the World's Memory connected to the Festival’s tribute. Exploring what remains unclassified, “anarchival,” outside the norm and beyond the gaze of the many, the publication engages in dialogue with the main axes of the festival’s program: the archival poetics of Bill Morrison’s filmography; Vouvoula Skoura’s journey along the borderlands of literature, cities, and people; the rich legacy of Yorgos Papalios; as well as the program “‘Anarchiving Change’: The View of Biennale 9,” a selection of eight films by Nadia Argyropoulou, curator of the 9th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art 2026, titled everything must change. The book features archival material from the Greek State Archives of Greece and Yannis Karlopoulos’s personal postcard collection.
